My interest in brush lettering began with a simple, yet unusual, assignment in one of my college courses: Pick a project or skill that intrigues you and complete it. I've categorized the latter assignment as unusual not only due to its ambiguity but its sheer lack of prevalence amongst college courses. I began thinking about the sheer number of opportunities that laid before me.

The opportunity I landed on happened to be hand lettering (brush, calligraphy, etc.) which developed into a cathartic pastime.

Therefore, The Petite Pen's intent is to cultivate a creative space by which I can share my artistic endeavors, the latter's process, and perhaps a sprinkle of joy along the way.
